William and Catherine stepped out for their first public appearance together since their Engagement, in Fakenham, for the Teenage Cancer Trust Christmas Spectacular.

Catherine wore the Temperley "Titan" dress, a white dress with black detailing on the chest, from the Autumn '09 collection. She topped it with a solid black blazer. She wore black heels and black hose, and accessorized with a black clutch. She wore her hair down with ends curled.

William and Catherine's official engagement portraits were released on December 11, 2010. The portraits were taken by Mario Testino, Princess Diana's favorite photographer. Catherine reportedly did her own make-up, and her hair was done by her longtime hair stylist, James Pryce, of  the Richard Ward Salon.

For the second, casual portrait, Catherine wore a Whistles cream, silk blouse with ruffle details on the front. It was originally from the Autumn/Winter 2008 collection. It was since re-issued in April 2011 and called the Kate. The original blouse sounds for £95, while the re-issued version sells for £125.

William and Catherine's official engagement portraits were released on December 11, 2010. The portraits were taken by Mario Testino, Princess Diana's favorite photographer. Catherine reportedly did her own make-up, and her hair was done by her longtime hair stylist, James Pryce, of  the Richard Ward Salon.

For the first, formal portrait, Catherine wore the Reiss "Nanette" dress, which features 3/4 sleeves, an asymmetric draped neck line, side pockets, and tulip hemline. The front has a ruffle and zipper that fastens the dress. The dress almost immediately sold out. It has since been re-released in the UK and the US, both selling out quickly. Catherine accessorized with Links of London "Hope Egg" earrings.

November 17, 2010: Spotted at Westminster

Catherine was spotted leaving Westminster Abbey, the day after the Engagement Announcement, with her parents, church officials, and security personnel. It would be where the couple decided to marry.

Catherine wore the Reiss "Olivia" woolen, double breasted, trenchcoat, an item she has been seen wearing many times. She wore her hair down.

November 16, 2010: Engagement Announcemnt

William and Catherine officially announced their Engagement on November 16, 2010. The official announcement came from the Prince of Wales' twitter account , Clarence House.

"The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton"

The Queen, and Buckingham Palace responded from their own twitter:

"The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are absolutely delighted at the news of Prince William and Catherine Middleton's engagement."

William presented Catherine with his mother, Princess Diana's sapphire and diamond engagement ring from Garrard's. He proposed on a private holiday in Kenya.

Catherine wore a long sleeved, royal blue, Issa wrap dress with black heels. She wore her hair down, with large curls at the end.

Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton attend the wedding of thier horse riding chum Harry Meade in the Cotswold village of Northleach, Gloucestershire. International eventer Meade wed Rosie Bradford at the Northleach Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Gloucestershire. Meade has been friends with Prince's Harry and William since they were children. In January of 2005 Prince Harry was famously photographed at Harry Meades' fancy dress birthday party in a Nazi uniform. Prince Harry did not attend the wedding.

William and Catherine attended the wedding of Harry Meade and Rosemarie, "Rosie" Bradford. Harry is a longtime friend of William's. The pair each had a tan, from a recent safari in Kenya, which would later be revealed to have been where the couple became engaged. Engagement rumours were extremely high at the time due to this being the first time the couple had been seen in public together for 104 days. The couple also had usually attended events, arriving separately to avoid attention, however the couple arrived together to this event. Leaks that the Royal Mint had been commissioned to create a commemorative wedding coin had also been spread. The couple appeared relaxed and happy, most likely due to their, then secret, engagement.

Catherine wore a striking cobalt blue dress by Issa. She topped it with a basic black blazer and wore black heels with a black, wide brimmed Philip Somerville hat. She wore her hair down.

Catherine attended the Chakravarty Polo Cup at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire, UK. The event was held to raise funds for charities including the English Schools’ Swimming Association and Wellchild.

Catherine wore a summery, pale green dress, tied with a black belt. She wore oversized sunglasses, a large tan bag, and carried a cream cardigan. She wore black espadrille wedges and was seen laughing and joking with friends.

William and Catherine attended the wedding of univeristy friends, Oliver Baker and Melissa Nicholson. The site was in St. Andrews, Scotland, where the couple first met.

Catherine wore the gold brocade Day Birger et Mikkelsen coat, previously worn to Laura Parker-Bowles' wedding in 2006. She wore a black fascinator, previously worn to Peter Philips' wedding. She also wore black heels and carried a black clutch.

William and Catherine attended the wedding of friends, David Jardine-Paterson and Emilia d'Erlanger. Emilia is an ex-girlfriend of William's, and David is the brother, of Kate's sister's ex-boyfriend, JJ.

Catherine wore a red wrap dress by Issa featuring an opening in the back. She wore patent black heels and carried a black Aspital of London "Eaton" clutch with a chain. She accessorized with a red, feathery fascinator, and Cassandra Goad "Temple of Heaven" earrings.
