William and Catherine departed Calgary after a ceremony at Calgary Rotary Challenger Park, attended by 3100 people, where they laid a wreath at a wall honoring Canadian soldiers who died in Afghanistan. They also witnessed a 21-gun salute. The prince inspected the guard of honour and the band played O Canada.

Catherine wore a flowy, red, Catherine Walker coat, adorned with the Queen's loaned maple leaf brooch and taupe LK Bennett heels.

William and Catherine participated in the planting of a Eastern Hemlock tree at Rideau Hall in Ottawa to commemorate their wedding. The couple then greeted war veterans and took part in a cooking workshop.

Catherine chose a demure, grey Catherine Walker dress. The designer was a favorite of Princess Diana and its choice in grey was seen to be a symbolic nod to Princess Diana, whose 50th birthday would have been this day. The dress features a 'Peter Pan' collar and rolled sleeves. Catherine chose Tabitha Simmons heels and a grey clutch by Hobbs.

She wore a Catherine Walker dress and matching coat made from grey silk-satin. The ensemble was designed for her, as was her Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat with featured feathers. Catherine finished the ensemble with grey suede pumps, and a gray patent clutch.
