William and Catherine participated in the planting of a Eastern Hemlock tree at Rideau Hall in Ottawa to commemorate their wedding. The couple then greeted war veterans and took part in a cooking workshop.

Catherine chose a demure, grey Catherine Walker dress. The designer was a favorite of Princess Diana and its choice in grey was seen to be a symbolic nod to Princess Diana, whose 50th birthday would have been this day. The dress features a 'Peter Pan' collar and rolled sleeves. Catherine chose Tabitha Simmons heels and a grey clutch by Hobbs.

William and Catherine were the guests of honour at a concert celebrating Canada Day. The couple enjoyed the Great Big Sea, Tragically Hip, and Weezer for about a half an hour before leaving for a private event to watch a fireworks finale.

Catherine wore a purple wrap Issa dress, with black heels, and a black Anya Hindmarch "Maud" clutch in black. Catherine wore the Queen's maple leaf brooch and her hair in an up-do.

William and Catherine began the day by attending the Canadian Citizenship Ceremony at the Museum of Canadian Civilization. The couple then handed out celebration flags to the new citizens before attending the Canada Day Noon Show at Ottawa's Parliament Hill, which had over 500,000 in attendance. William, and the Prime Minister, both made speeches.

Catherine dressed for Canada day by honoring the Canadian flag. She wore the Reiss "Nanette" dress, previously worn in the couple's engagement photos. Catherine wore a red hat with maple leaves by Sylvia Fletcher at Lock & Co, and cherry "Albini" heels by Hobbs. She accesorized by using a red Anya Hindmarch "Fan Clutch," and wearing the Queen's maple leaf brooch and a Tiffany & Co. "Diamonds by the Yard" bracelet.

William and Catherine attended an informal youth BBQ at Ottawa's Rideau Hall, which was moved inside at the last minute because of unexpected rainfall. The couple talked with guests and enjoyed a sampling of Canadian foods.

Catherine wore the Issa birdprint dress, previously worn as she arrived at the Goring Hotel, the night before her wedding, and Pied-a-Terre "Imperia" slingback wedges. She accessorized with Vinnie Day Earrings.
