Classic: Kate, whose shiny brunette locks were styled in loose curls, wore a chunky silver necklace and matching earrings with the simple gown

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Sun Military Awards at the Imperial War Museum in London. The event is an annual awards ceremony which honors servicemen, servicewomen, and civilians for their service. The awards include, "Best Recruit," and "The Life Saver Award." The Duchess presented the award for "Most Outstanding Soldier," to Seargent Ryan McCready.


The Duke wore a black tuxedo and bowtie, while Catherine matched him in a black velvet Alexander McQueen gown. The gown featured a trimmed, sweetheart neckline, and mermaid skirt. The gown was originally sheer in the skirt section but was altered to become completely velvet for the Duchess. She matched the ensemble with a velvet bowed clutch by Pretty Ballerinas, and black suede Prada heels. She also wore jewelry, which was a wedding gift from an anonymous friend. The necklace featured diamond and ruby starburst, and she wore a diamond and ruby bracelet. Catherine wore her hair in a side part with loose curls.

August 19, 2011: Visit to post rioted Birmingham

William and Catherine visited a post-riot Birmingham. They toured rioted areas and socialized with the victims of the crimes.

Catherine wore a military inspired blouse, white with navy blue details on the chest, shoulders, and wrists, featuring brass buttons. She paired it with a matching navy blue skirt, featuring brass buttons, and two front slits. She completed the look with navy blue, suede Prada pumps.

William and Catherine were the guests of honour at the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) "Brits to Watch" event at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. The event honored 42 British actors. The couple arrived in a motorcade at 8:04 am and the couple walked the red carpet, briefly stopping to greet fans. Other celebrities in attendance included Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Garner, May Louise-Parker, Tom Hanks, Jack Black, and Rita Wilson. The couple were seated at the "Silver Table"  along with other guests, Nicole Kidman, James Brolin, and Barbara Streisand.

Catherine's dress was a lavender Alexander McQueen, featuring a loose top, flowy skirt, and cinched at the waist by a glittery belt. The paired the gown with Jimmy Choo "Vamp" sandals in glitter, and a Jimmy Choo "Ubai" glittered clutch. The finished the outfit with diamond earrings borrowed from the Queen.

Catherine wore a nautical inspired Alexander McQueen which was cream with navy blue stripes. She wore navy blue, suede Prada pumps, and diamond and sapphire earrings that were Diana's.

William and Catherine attended a ceremony at at Windsor’s Victoria Barracks and presented medals to members of the Irish Guards.

Catherine wore a navy blue, military inspired Alexander McQueen dress featuring brass buttons and nacy blue, suede, Prada heels. She accessorized with a navy clutch by Anay Hindmarch, matching navy blue hat by Rachel Trevor-Morgan, and Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings.

William and Catherine attended the Trooping the Colour ceremony, honoring his grandmother, the Queen's 85 birthday. While William participated in the procession, Catherine road in a horse-drawn carriage along with Prince Harry, Camilla, and Prince Andrew.

Catherine wore an ivory Alexander McQueen dress coat and black hat by Lock & Co.William wore his red Irish Guards uniform with a blue garter that he wore at his wedding. The scene on the balcony of Buckingham Palace was reminiscent of the April 29 Wedding and balcony appearance.

Prince William of Wales, KG, was married to Miss Catherine Elizabeth Middleton at Westminster Abbey in London on April 29, 2011

Catherine arrived at the Abbey at 11:02 am in a Rolls Royce Phanton, loaned from the Queen. She wore a satin and lace Sarah Burton by Alexander McQueen dress. It had a sweetheart neckline and lace sleeves. Both the sleeves and back of dress featured satin buttons. The dress had a 9 foot train. She wore Sarah Burton shoes, the Cartier "Halo" tiara, loaned from the Queen, and Robinson Pelham diamon, acorn earrings, specially designed for the day. She wore Illuminum "White Gardenia Petals" fragrance.
