The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Sun Military Awards at the Imperial War Museum in London. The event is an annual awards ceremony which honors servicemen, servicewomen, and civilians for their service. The awards include, "Best Recruit," and "The Life Saver Award." The Duchess presented the award for "Most Outstanding Soldier," to Seargent Ryan McCready.

The Duke wore a black tuxedo and bowtie, while Catherine matched him in a black velvet Alexander McQueen gown. The gown featured a trimmed, sweetheart neckline, and mermaid skirt. The gown was originally sheer in the skirt section but was altered to become completely velvet for the Duchess. She matched the ensemble with a velvet bowed clutch by Pretty Ballerinas, and black suede Prada heels. She also wore jewelry, which was a wedding gift from an anonymous friend. The necklace featured diamond and ruby starburst, and she wore a diamond and ruby bracelet. Catherine wore her hair in a side part with loose curls.

Catherine attended the wedding of friends, Thomas Sutton and Harriet Colthurst at St. Mary and St. Nicholas church in Wilton, Wiltshire. Catherine was accompanied by friend, Louise Aubrey Fletcher, as William was an usher in the wedding. Catherine's sister, Pippa Middleton and current beau, Alex Loudon also attended.

Catherine wore a dark red lace Collette Dinnigan dress, topped with a red floral pillbox fascinator. She wore Prada Point-Toe Platform pumps in black patent and carried a black Aspinal of London "Eaton" clutch with chain.

August 19, 2011: Visit to post rioted Birmingham

William and Catherine visited a post-riot Birmingham. They toured rioted areas and socialized with the victims of the crimes.

Catherine wore a military inspired blouse, white with navy blue details on the chest, shoulders, and wrists, featuring brass buttons. She paired it with a matching navy blue skirt, featuring brass buttons, and two front slits. She completed the look with navy blue, suede Prada pumps.

July 10, 2011: Last Day in Los Angeles

William and Catherine had a busy last day in California. The couple left the British-Consul's home at about 10 a.m. and headed to Inner-City Arts on skid row in Los Angeles. The couple toured the facility, visited with homeless people and participated in each painting their own artwork. Following that visit, the couple headed to a job fair for returned serviceman at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. William spoke at the event and they each helped to wrap care packages for children who have parents serving overseas. The couple then attended a reception for the launch of the Circle of Tusk Trust Foundation which was also attended by celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon. The couple then departed for the UK aboard a British Airways flight at around 4pm.

Catherine wore a black Whistles crocheted cardigan and cream Whistles pleated skirt. She wore navy blue suede heels by Prada, and Diana's sapphire diamon earrings, converted from posts to drops.

William and Catherine attended a ceremony at at Windsor’s Victoria Barracks and presented medals to members of the Irish Guards.

William and Catherine attended to the 10th Annual Ark Charity Gala at Kensington Palace. It was  the first formal engagement attended by the couple since their marriage. The event included a dinner and a speech was given by Prince William.

Catherine wore a shimmery pink dress, featuring sequins and Swarovski crystals. Kate added other pink accesories to the ensemble including LK Bennett's "Agata" sandals in pale rose, a pink Prada satin box clutch, and her Links of London "Effervescence Bubble Stiletto Earrings". Catherine was seen previously carrying the Prada clutch at the wedding of Peter Philips in May 2008.

Catherine stepped out for some last minute shopping on the King's Road, a little over a week before the wedding. The shopping trip reportly lasted about 20 minutes. She stopped in British store, Warehouse, the equivalent of the American chain, TJ Maxx. She reportedly bought four sundresses, perhaps for the upcoming honeymoon.

Compare to weight to that at the Nicholas van Cutsem wedding in August. At the wedding, she has lost a noticeable amount of weight following the breaking scandal involving her uncle, Gary Goldsmith.

After keeping a low profile over the winter, William and Catherine made an appearance at a charity polo match hosted by Audi. It was their first appearance together in five months. One of the beneficiaries of the match, was Prince Harry's Sentabale charity.

Catherine wore dark demin jeans, a black shirt with white floral print, brown leather heeled boots, and a white Prada handbag. She wore her hair down.

Catherine stepped out for some shopping with her sister, Pippa. Catherine wore a brown and white, floral print dress, topped with a black cardigan. She wore brown and black patent, slingback, peep-toe, espadrilles and carried a white Prada bag. The dress was previously seen on Catherine in August 2007, after her return from the Seychelles in 2007.

At this point, there are many concerns that Catherine is not working, but rather spending her days "keeping herself looking good." She is seen out shopping, playing tennis, and attending social functions during this period. She stated that the worked full time for the family's mail-order party supply company, in Berkshire, UK.

Catherine attended the wedding of Peter Philips to Autumn Kelly at St. George's Chapel, Windsor. Catherine was the representative of Prince William, who was attending the wedding of a friend in Kenya.

Catherine wore an Issa "Lucky" dress in black with a sheer neck. You can see, in the photo of Catherine dancing with Chelsy Davy, that the dress is also sheer on the back and under the arms. She topped the dress with a pink double breasted blazer. She wore satin pink heels and a black pillbox hat, with bow to the back and light veiling. She carried a Prada pink box clutch.
