Prince William and girlfriend Kate Middleton attend the wedding of thier horse riding chum Harry Meade in the Cotswold village of Northleach, Gloucestershire. International eventer Meade wed Rosie Bradford at the Northleach Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Gloucestershire. Meade has been friends with Prince's Harry and William since they were children. In January of 2005 Prince Harry was famously photographed at Harry Meades' fancy dress birthday party in a Nazi uniform. Prince Harry did not attend the wedding.

William and Catherine attended the wedding of Harry Meade and Rosemarie, "Rosie" Bradford. Harry is a longtime friend of William's. The pair each had a tan, from a recent safari in Kenya, which would later be revealed to have been where the couple became engaged. Engagement rumours were extremely high at the time due to this being the first time the couple had been seen in public together for 104 days. The couple also had usually attended events, arriving separately to avoid attention, however the couple arrived together to this event. Leaks that the Royal Mint had been commissioned to create a commemorative wedding coin had also been spread. The couple appeared relaxed and happy, most likely due to their, then secret, engagement.

Catherine wore a striking cobalt blue dress by Issa. She topped it with a basic black blazer and wore black heels with a black, wide brimmed Philip Somerville hat. She wore her hair down.
